Ride hail drivers demand a lot from their vehicles, currently using consumer cars but driving them ten times further each year. Arrival Car is intended to withstand heavy mileage, providing an affordable solution that’s suited to this challenge.

                Drivers can regularly spend up to 10 hours a day in their vehicles. Our design is centred on their needs, enhancing safety and comfort to create a space that prioritises physical and mental wellbeing.

                Every city is different, so the Arrival Bus can be tailored to local needs. Modular design enables configuration of length, range and capacity. We’re changing public transport for everyone. A bus made for passengers, drivers, fleet operators, cleaning staff, pedestrians, cyclists and urban residents too.
                

Every interaction has been thoughtfully designed. Riders can request a stop or receive real-time updates through their smartphone. Wrap-around LED screens display route and seating information.
                And the panoramic glass roof lets in natural light to enhance the space.

Human-centred design

Reduced complexity throughout the Bus enables more effortless maintenance. A fully flat floor, cantilever ‘floating’ seats, and seamless surfaces allow quick and easy cleaning.

The Arrival Van is made to meet the challenges that come with this shift, providing an elegant, efficient and sustainable solution for last mile delivery and the mobilised workforce.

Designed from the ground up, the Arrival Van can be tailored precisely to individual routes and specific uses - with different heights, lengths and battery capacities available. It’s internal cargo bay is optimised to efficiently carry the most volume and payload on the smallest vehicle footprint possible.

Connectivity is embedded, meaning the Arrival Van functions as part of a connected transport ecosystem - sending and receiving data. It’s a citizen in its own right, affecting everything around it.

The Arrival Van is constructed from a hybrid of aluminium frame and thermoplastic-composite panels, making it much lighter than stamped metal counterparts. It’s body shell is also durable and resilient to damage. Minimising the need for repairs - ensuring the vehicle is on the road for longer.

Arrival Microfactory Production Cell

Microfactories


                Every Arrival vehicle is produced in small-footprint, low cost Microfactories. Microfactories use our new method of cell-based assembly instead of the traditional automotive production line. They can be deployed quickly – making use of existing commercial spaces and producing any type of vehicle to meet demand.
                

Each Microfactory serves a city and its community – sourcing from the local area and developing custom vehicles for the region they’re in. By localising the supply chain, Microfactories help to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing.

Arrival Composite Materials

Materials

Arrival’s proprietary composite materials are low cost, strong and lightweight. 50% lighter than steel, yet durable and resistant to damage. Any vehicle maintenance required is easier and more cost-effective as a result.

Eliminating the use of sheet metal has removed complicated stamping and welding processes during manufacturing. Everything is moulded and shaped to form the vehicle, which allows us to create any type of vehicle rapidly and on demand.

We’ve considered the environmental impact throughout our vehicle’s lifetime - ensuring the materials are recyclable and reusable at every stage of production, use and end of life.

                At Arrival, we design, engineer and manufacture the components of our vehicles in-house. Vertical integration enables us to control the functionality and cost of our products – passing the cost-savings on to the customer.
                

All of our components are designed on a modular grid-based system for simple assembly. Each component can be used across Arrival’s different vehicle platforms, allowing manufacturing at scale and rapid development of new vehicle types.

Modular and versatile

Arrival components are all plug & play – hardware that’s enabled by software. Each component is easily upgradeable over the air and when it’s time, predictive software empowers quick replacement. This ability to upgrade both hardware and software extends the lifespan of an Arrival vehicle by twice that of an average commercial vehicle.

                An entirely new type of vehicle demands a new type of production. Introducing the Arrival Microfactory — operational in 6 months, with a lower capital expenditure and smaller footprint.

                By decentralising production, we can set up Microfactories anywhere there is demand, from existing commercial spaces to warehouses. They serve individual cities, support local economies and produce purpose-built products customised to regional needs.

                This makes us profitable from much lower volumes, with superior unit economics and the flexibility to respond to changing demand.
