Every interaction has been thoughtfully designed. Riders can request a stop or receive real-time updates through their smartphone. Wrap-around LED screens display route and seating information.
                And the panoramic glass roof lets in natural light to enhance the space.

Human-centred design

Reduced complexity throughout the Bus enables more effortless maintenance. A fully flat floor, cantilever ‘floating’ seats, and seamless surfaces allow quick and easy cleaning.

                We’ve re-thought commercial cargo vehicles. Designed using a modular architecture, the Arrival Van can be configured based on battery capacity, height, length, and load space – tailored to specific commercial requirements.
                

The Arrival Van

The Arrival Van has been engineered to maximise space, for best-in-class payload and volume capacity. Each van carries more for less, reducing fleet and depot size. In addition, Arrival’s digital ecosystem enhances performance – calculating energy usage, range and vehicle efficiency based on load.

Engineered for efficiency

The commercial van market will exceed 2 million vehicles by 2025 due to demand for same-day delivery. A move to Arrival’s zero-emission vehicles preserves the air quality and protects citizens in urban areas where delivery demand is highest.

                Every Arrival vehicle is produced in small-footprint, low cost Microfactories. Microfactories use our new method of cell-based assembly instead of the traditional automotive production line. They can be deployed quickly – making use of existing commercial spaces and producing any type of vehicle to meet demand.
                

Microfactories

Each Microfactory serves a city and its community – sourcing from the local area and developing custom vehicles for the region they’re in. By localising the supply chain, Microfactories help to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing.

At Arrival we realise that products need to be defined by the processes that make them. Designing vehicles for Microfactory assembly is core to our product development process and is an essential part of what makes our vehicles unique.

Arrival Composite Materials

Arrival’s proprietary composite materials are low cost, strong and lightweight. 50% lighter than steel, yet durable and resistant to damage. Any vehicle maintenance required is easier and more cost-effective as a result.

Materials

Eliminating the use of sheet metal has removed complicated stamping and welding processes during manufacturing. Everything is moulded and shaped to form the vehicle, which allows us to create any type of vehicle rapidly and on demand.

We’ve considered the environmental impact throughout our vehicle’s lifetime - ensuring the materials are recyclable and reusable at every stage of production, use and end of life.

                At Arrival, we design, engineer and manufacture the components of our vehicles in-house. Vertical integration enables us to control the functionality and cost of our products – passing the cost-savings on to the customer.
                

Elements

All of our components are designed on a modular grid-based system for simple assembly. Each component can be used across Arrival’s different vehicle platforms, allowing manufacturing at scale and rapid development of new vehicle types.

Modular and versatile

Arrival components are all plug & play – hardware that’s enabled by software. Each component is easily upgradeable over the air and when it’s time, predictive software empowers quick replacement. This ability to upgrade both hardware and software extends the lifespan of an Arrival vehicle by twice that of an average commercial vehicle.

                An entirely new type of vehicle demands a new type of production. Introducing the Arrival Microfactory — operational in 6 months, with a lower capital expenditure and smaller footprint.

                By decentralising production, we can set up Microfactories anywhere there is demand, from existing commercial spaces to warehouses. They serve individual cities, support local economies and produce purpose-built products customised to regional needs.

                This makes us profitable from much lower volumes, with superior unit economics and the flexibility to respond to changing demand.

                We develop and produce our components, materials and technologies in-house: the scale of our intellectual property reflects how we prioritise innovation. The same technology, components and materials are used on our flexible skateboard platforms across all our vehicles: this is core to unlocking production efficiencies within Arrival Microfactories.

Global Expertise

Arrival offices, R&D facilities and Microfactories span the globe. Over 1400 people from around the world are part of Arrival. Around 90% of our employees are engineers, and over half of those software-focused.

Every Arrival facility is placed carefully to draw on local talent, foster expertise and meet growing regional demand. Our HQ is in London. We also have software development in London, LA, Stuttgart, Moscow and St Petersburg, and a robotics research centre in Berlin. Our components hub is in Amsterdam and we’re developing charging solutions in Tel Aviv.
